A couple of months ago Microsoft tested the IE9 running on Windows Phone 7 in comparison with Nexus S and the iPhone 4,then the IE9 fared better compared with the android device while the iPhone 4 was ages behind in terms of FPS for speed reading in HTML5.
A couple of days ago Tom Warren reported about the iOS 5 being the better one with the HTML 5 test conducted up against the IE9 scoring 31 FPS which is better than the previous IE9 score(IE9′s previous best was 25 and iphone 4 only managed single digit FPS).But then TheNextWeb cross checked the test results and run some tests repeatedly on the Mango Device which was provided for preview by Microsoft.

So the results were contradictory to tom’s tests and IE9 bettered the iOS 5′s 31 FPS reading by a huge margin.Of the 30 tests which were conducted the browser scored 45 FPS for peak rates and 41 FPS several times, they also tested the iOS5 which couldn’t manage to go beyond 32 FPS .
So if this Version of IE9 is any indication of the improvement from the past,we can expect a much better foolproof version with the upcoming final Mango Release and also it means iOS 5 still has a lot of ground to be covered as far as the HTML 5 experience goes.
